The dept. officers of GoK were trained on the use of portal and applications, Remote Sensing and GIS technology. The training was offered for 450 staff weeks. Also participated in the workshop / conference like FOSS 4G, IGF, ITBiz, BTS and others organized by various agencies.

KSRSAC encourages the students to acquire industrial experience through internship under scientific officers or scientists. The internship gives them an opportunity to get additional skills and a chance to apply their knowledge practically in industries. KSRSAC also accepts many graduate engineering students from the various institutions to undertake training and internship.
Many other institutes/Universities like Bangalore University, Mysore University, Mangalore University, Kuvempu University, NIT-Surathkal, etc which are offering Master degrees in geoinformatics and allied subjects also encouraged to undergo internship at KSRSAC.

The geospatial data available in KGIS portal shall not be used for any legal purpose. They are just representational maps and information which are to be validated for its accuracy and correctness.
The attribute information available in the portal are also not to be used for any legal purpose. The KGIS portal is currently in the development and testing phase.
Hence, the derived information / data from the KGIS portal needs to be revalidated with the respective agencies / KSRSAC. While every effort has been made to ensure that these data are accurate and reliable within the limits of KSRSAC | KGIS team, it cannot assume liability for any damages caused by any errors or omissions in the data, nor as a result of the failure of the data to function on a particular system. KSRSAC / KGIS makes no warranty, expressed or implied, nor does the fact of distribution constitute such a warranty.
